New Spear Course: ‘Interdisciplinary Workflows for Dental Implants’
By John Roark on September 8, 2015 | comments
Spear Online’s newest Clinical Team Meeting lesson, Interdisciplinary Workflows for Dental Implants is now live.
In the eyes of a patient, treatment for a dental condition begins at the first onset of symptoms and ends upon placement and healing of the final restoration. Especially for implant patients, the complex sequence of treatment phases, number of professionals involved, and length of treatment can create confusion and frustration.
In this module, Dr. Darin Dichter guides the team through an organized and methodical approach to planning out an implant placement — with an emphasis on keeping the patient informed and their expectations aligned throughout.
After completing this lesson, you will be able to:
- Develop an understanding of what aspects of dental implant sequencing can be confusing for patients
- Define the phases typically included in a dental implant case, and the disciplines involved
- Provide a framework for the dental team to map out a flowchart of their interdisciplinary process for a dental implant case
