Study Club Module: Treatment Options for Long-Term Provisionalization
By Michael Ferraresi on April 26, 2019 |
In this new Spear Study Club module, Resident Faculty member Dr. Jeffrey Bonk identifies situations that contribute to missing teeth and replacement options.
Dr. Bonk discusses a variety of treatment alternatives and provides several case studies from his own Chicago-area practice to demonstrate how to use resin-bonded bridges for fixed long-term provisionals.
“Treatment Options for Long-Term Provisionalization” serves as an effective precursor to a new Spear Online technique workshop that shows step-by-step techniques for fabricating, removing and repairing resin-bonded bridges.
Following the module, club members learn:
- How to use a decision tree to manage missing teeth with provisional replacements
- How the growth and development of a patient affects the timing and type of provisional used for missing tooth spaces
- How to manage teeth with potential root fractures
