Spear Releases New Curriculum on Dental Case Acceptance
By Benjamin Rojek on November 7, 2016 | commentsDentists can now learn more about utilizing communication skills to help patients understand their need for treatment in Spear’s newest two-course curriculum.
“Communication and Case Acceptance in the Restorative Practice, Part 1” and “Communication and Case Acceptance in the Restorative Practice, Part 2” are both taught by Dr. Ricardo Mitrani and are part of the new Patient Communication in the Restorative Practice Pathway.
In “Communication and Case Acceptance in the Restorative Practice, Part 1,” viewers will get to join Dr. Mitrani at his own dental practice to explore the art of patient communication and case acceptance in a real-world clinical setting. Utilizing the “buyer’s journey” concept, Dr. Mitrani breaks down the processes and tools he and his team employ to build value for their dentistry. Viewers will then get to watch a live demonstration of his system as he meets with a patient.
In the second course, “Communication and Case Acceptance in the Restorative Practice, Part 2,” Dr. Mitrani once again takes viewers to his own dental practice to see how the buyer’s journey and patient communication tools taught in Part 1 can be applied to a comprehensive case. One of Dr. Mitrani's patients even takes viewers through their perspective the process. The course then concludes with a hands-on demonstration of a technique dentists can apply chairside to help esthetic patients see their clinician’s vision for improving their smile.
