Study Club Redux: Spear Releases Updated Modules
By Benjamin Rojek on July 24, 2016 | commentsAs part of an effort to keep up with current technology and research, Spear is releasing updated versions of its Study Club modules.
So far Spear has released 12 updated modules and will release two more July 25.
“These updates are based upon the feedback from our Study Clubs as well as trends we’ve seen – the most viewed modules, etc.,” said Dr. Martin Mendelson, Spear’s executive vice president of client services. “These changes will help your club have a more focused, seamless meeting.”
The most noticeable changes will be the length of the videos. Some have been shortened based on member feedback. Those videos may have been repetitive or the extra content did not drive discussion.
Other videos, however, were lengthened with additional value-added content. The additional content is meant to create a more significant discussion in the Study Club meetings and not just increase the video’s runtime. Again, the additions were based on member feedback.
On June 25, Spear is releasing two updated videos. In “Fees for the Interdisciplinary Case,” Study Club members will join Dr. Frank Spear in a walkthrough of his rationale for creating fees for cases. In “Nate - Wear and Tooth Size Discrepancy in the Ortho/Restorative Case,” Dr. Gregg Kinzer and Dr. Vince Kokich Jr. take Study Club members through a moderately complex restorative-orthodontic case that requires careful collaboration between the restorative dentist and the orthodontist.
The other updated modules are:
- Luis - Comparison Between Restoring Poorly Placed Implants and a Carefully Planned and Well Placed Implant
- Barry-complex occlusion and multiple implants
- MaryJane - Treating the Crowded and Worn Dentition
- Sanci - Tooth Position and Gingival Levels in the Esthetically Demanding Patient
- Lou- Orthodontics vs. Orthognatic in the Restorative Case
- Svetlana- Gingiva Asymmetry and the Wear Case
- Angela- Restorative Solutions for Failed Implants
- Michelle- Treating Significant Anterior Gingival Recession
- Spear Model
- Patient Goals in the Comprehensive Exam
- Tyler- Endo vs. Extraction in a Fractured Anterior Tooth
- What Do I Do With This?
