Spear is honored to introduce Darin Dichter, D.M.D. as a member of the Spear resident faculty.
Dr. Dichter brings nearly 20 years of clinical, research and teaching experience – both as a general dentist and as a prosthodontist – to his new position with Spear.
Dr. Dichter earned a D.M.D. degree from OHSU in 1995 and maintained a private practice in Oregon for 16 years before completing a full-time residency in advanced prosthodontics at UCLA.
"It is truly an honor to welcome Dr. Dichter to the Spear faculty," says Spear's Executive Vice President of Business Development, Steve Ratcliff, D.D.S., M.S. "He is an incredible clinician with unique insight into the day-to-day challenges that dentists face. Because he practiced general dentistry for 16 years before completing his prosthodontic residency, and his additional training in dental ceramics, he has a perspective that truly enhances his ability to teach advanced concepts in a pragmatic and understandable manner."
Dr. Dichter has served as a guest lecturer and clinical instructor at Oregon Health & Science University, teaching occlusion and esthetics. He is one of the original Spear visiting faculty members as well as a contributing author for Spear Digest, which features online clinical and practice articles by the Spear Faculty. He is passionate about education and is involved with multiple study groups in the United States and Canada.
