Spear Releases Study Club Module On Predictable Outcomes For Sub-Optimal Treatment Plans

In "Nicole Y. - Creating a Predictable Outcome for a Sub-Optimal Treatment Plan with Implant Occlusal Considerations," Dr. Kevin Kwiecien demonstrates the use of facially-generated treatment planning and the importance of trusting the treatment process even when the patient does not accept the optimal treatment plan.
Nicole's case offers a lesson in visualizing the compromised end before beginning treatment so that the dentist, specialists and patient understand the impact of the compromise and can work together to minimize the compromise as much as possible.
This module also addresses the timing of communicating with specialists and reviews the impact malocclusion has on the predictability of implant-supported or retained restorations. Some benefits of CAD/CAM dentistry and increased predictability will also be addressed.
After completing this module, Study Club members will be able to:
- Determine the optimal/appropriate time to include specialists in the treatment planning process
- Understand how to communicate a “sub-optimal” treatment plan
- Understand how malocclusion impacts longevity and predictability of implant supported/ retained restorations
Study Club members will be eligible for three continuing education credit hours for each module they complete.
