Spear Releases 'Missing Maxillary Anteriors' Study Club Module
By Benjamin Rojek on April 25, 2016 | commentsSpear released a new Study Club module that focuses on dental implant restorations.
In “Missing Maxillary Anteriors – Dental Implant Restorations,” Dr. Doug Benting looks at three different ways in which to replace multiple missing teeth in the esthetic zone. Each of the cases was restored utilizing implants, yet each case used different restorative designs and materials. In each case the provisionalization period was critical to the ultimate success of the case.
Through this module, Study Club members will:
- Learn to use EFSB - esthetics, function, structure and biology - and tracings to create treatment plans in a way that helps the patient follow the goals of the restorative plan and manage expectations
- Compare three methods of attaching the definitive prostheses to the dental implants: screw-retained, “hybrid” screw-retained and cement-retained, and cement-retained
- Learn to evaluate the provisional for important design features; including prosthetic gingiva and implant depth
This module is most appropriate for more experienced Study Clubs.
Study Club members will be eligible for continuing education credit hours for each module they complete.
