In a previous article, “Preparing and Impressing a Terminal Abutment for a Removable Partial Denture”, I described a technique to allow the lab to fabricate a PFM crown to the clasping and rest seat of an existing removable partial denture. I wanted to follow-up and show what it looked like when I seated the case.

In this photograph, I've just removed the provisional, seated the crown and placed the RPD. I was delighted that I didn't have to touch a clasp trying to get it to adapt to a buccal or lingual wall.

In the end I made it tighter but I didn't have to spend additional time trying to bend it into place – and that's a happy day.
