Just like you wouldn’t build a house on a questionable foundation, restorative dentistry shouldn’t be performed on a tooth that has a poor endodontic prognosis. That’s why an endodontic prognosis assessment is critical for a successful restorative outcome. Whether it’s an endodontic diagnostic issue, surgical or nonsurgical endodontic treatment, or endodontic re-treatment, establishing the potential success of the case is imperative. In this module, Dr. Berman discusses common sense and methodical approaches for assessing the endodontic prognosis for several different endodontic case-based scenarios.
Learning Objectives:
Learn how to assess teeth that are endodontically compromised and determine the potential prognosis.
Consider the treatment plan for managing various types of compromised teeth.
Learn how to better assess teeth with resorption, root fractures and restorative issues with an interdisciplinary approach.
