For the first three years of her career, Dr. Abeyta worked in public health, seeing patients in a high-volume, assembly-line manner that left both her and her patients dissatisfied. Determined to find fulfillment in her profession, she transitioned to a private practice in Albuquerque, where she established a patient-focused, fee-for-service practice. "I wanted to have conversations with patients, treatment plan cases, and execute them well," Dr. Abeyta shared.
